I really enjoyed photographing Becky & Tom’s wedding at Wick Farm in Bath. It was such a relaxed and enjoyable wedding. In the morning I photographed Becky getting ready at home and can honestly say I’ve never worked with such a chilled out Bride before. The atmosphere was calm throughout the house, there was no rushing nor panicking, it was lovely! On to the venue and the ceremony got off to a fun start when guests were asked to sing along to “Can’t take my eyes off you” – you know the one, everyone knows that song… ‘you’re just too good to be true, can’t take my eyes off of you, you feel like heaven to touch, I want to hold you so much…’ Guests really enjoyed it, there was so much laughter and it totally set the tone for the rest of the day! Add to that all the special personal touches by this arty Bride and her Groom – the homemade apple t-light candle holders, homebrewed batch of beer (bottles decorated with tiny handmade pin badges & topped with union jack bottle tops), flowers they grew and hand tied themselves (I remember the Facebook photo of Becky on ‘Snailwatch’ at night wearing a head torch with her hands full of snails!), the very special personalised name place cards with a photo of each guest on, the homemade cake, table plan and collection of old family photographs and I’m not sure whose apple tree they chopped to pieces to decorate the venue with but it sure looked pretty. After a delicious meal and the amusing (and embarrassing for some) speeches everyone took to the dance floor for the Ceilidh. Most guests took a somewhat ‘freestyle’ approach to the instructions coming through the microphone but everyone certainly gave it 110% and I think the photos really show this! Becky & Tom thank you so much for including me in your special day, I had a blast and I truly wish you both every happiness, may your marriage be a long and happy one as cheerful as your wedding day.
