Priston Mill is a superstar wedding venue of the South West and the venue I chose for my own wedding.  There’s not one but two options here – a smaller wedding in a working Watermill or a larger wedding in a beautiful Tythe Barn.  Both are wonderful venues and both are set in amazing grounds in the middle of the countryside.  The Watermill is a unique venue, the sound of the wheel turning always in the background and a viewing gallery of the working insides of the mill.  You can use three of it’s floors for your wedding, one for the ceremony, one for the bar and one as a reception hall and cloakroom, plus there’s an outside terrace overlooking the stream.  The blue shutters on each window look fabulous and there’s also a pagoda in the garden for outdoor ceremonies if the weather is on your side.  The Tythe Barn is a lavish one with an amazing vaulted roof, it’s a huge building with a balcony section inside, main barn area with a double facing bar set to one side and a separate lounge and clockroom area.  The private gardens of the barn are well kept and full of colour whatever the season.  Plus, between the venues is an outdoor children’s play area which many adults seem to enjoy after a drink!
