Sarah contacted me to organise a Family Photography session in Bath.  She had received a voucher for the photoshoot as a gift from her sister and brother-in-law whose wedding I shot a few years ago.  Sarah and Ed chose the location of Prior Park for their photoshoot, a beautiful landscaped garden set in a valley with a lake and pretty palladian bridge.  It’s a wonderful spot and worth a visit if you are in the area.  The shoot was to be a celebration of the birth of their second daughter and a record of the four of them together not long after the birth.  The sun shone that morning and we took a slow walk around the grounds stopping for photographs here and there.  When working with young children you really are on their timetable.  It’s best not to try and control the images too much but to let the children roam where they want to go and capture natural images along the way.  So we played games, explored the garden, they had tickle fights and big hugs and it all resulted in a great gallery of contemporary images for them to choose their favourites from.  You can see a few of my favourites from this shoot below:
