Kelly O’Brien is an artist who contacted me to request some professional headshots to use on her website and for Art Galleries to use on her artist statements.  I was really looking forward to this shoot as it was to be held at Kelly’s studio in her home near Bath.  I trained in Fine Art and hold a Degree and Masters in the subject so an artist studio environment feels very much like home to me and I love seeing other artists studios and talking about their work.  Kelly explained the way she splits her time between her commercial work and her personal art work and it was interesting to hear another artist’s views on getting that balance right – something I’ve struggled with in the past.  Makeup artist Elle Hitchens was there to create a natural but polished look for Kelly before we set about some relaxed shots utilising the lovely natural light that floods Kelly’s studio.  Lovely to work with you both Kelly and Elle; I think we made a great team!  Below are a few of my favourite shots from that day:
