Frazer & Ria were married at Wick Farm near Bath and I was the lucky wedding photographer who had the pleasure of photographing their day. That morning I arrived at a hotel where the girls were getting ready and what a surprise I got when I saw the wedding details. A blue wedding dress, some very funky bridal shoes, qwirky jewellery and intricate homemade origami flowers. I had no idea Ria would choose that sort of style for her big day but I’m glad she did, the whole thing came together beautifully and looked quite different to any wedding I’ve photographed before. The personalisation of their day didn’t stop there either, Frazer is a lighting designer and technician for a concert venue in Bristol and when I first met him he told me of his plans to light the venue in a creative way. I’m really pleased to say he excelled at this and Wick Farm (a venue I’ve shot many times before) looked completely different with colourful lanterns hanging from the rafters and a beautifully up lit feature wall behind the band during the evening. From a photography point of view coloured uplighters really help to create great evening shots, they not only add crazy colours to the disco shots but show off the texture of the barn stonework too. Anyway, enough of what it all looked like – the atmosphere was great, guests enjoyed afternoon tea, a very funny best man’s speech and certainly had a great time at the barn dance in the evening. Frazer & Ria looked so very happy all day, they are clearly a great match – many thanks for choosing me to be part of your wedding, I wish you both a long and happy marriage together.
Here’s some of my favourites from the day but family and friends of Ria & Frazer are invited to view the full gallery here…
