Ellie & Nick’s wedding was a lovely one to shoot, the wedding of two childhood sweethearts… how special. I shot the wedding of Ellie’s sister, Laura, a few years back and it was an honour to be asked to photograph this wedding too. It was especially nice as I was already familiar with Ellie’s family which makes my job a lot easier – guests really need to trust a wedding photographer and ‘let them in’ to get the best shots. Anyway, like Laura’s wedding, Ellie’s was also very emotional – with five sisters of Ellie & Nick as bridesmaids what do you expect? It wasn’t only the girls shedding a tear though, the men from each family were also in touch with their emotions 🙂 There was a lot of love in the room and it’s clear to see how important Ellie & Nick are to everyone, witnessing that is a very special privilege of my job as a wedding photographer. So, the ceremony went smoothly regardless of the fact both Bride & Groom were shaking with nerves. Guests had a wonderful day as it as such a relaxed and fun wedding. During the first dance, when the baseline dropped (not an expression I use often when describing a first dance!) the place erupted and the dance floor was crammed. What an excellent party atmosphere to finish off their day! Ellie & Nick, you both know how much I enjoyed being part of your special day. I truly wish you every happiness in your future together.
