Gemma and Kenny’s wedding at Priston Watermill near Bath was a stunning wedding and I felt honoured to be selected as their Wedding Photographer – a sparkly dress, some very smart kilts, many bridesmaids in shades of blue, beautiful flowers, an outdoor ceremony and all the sunshine anyone could wish for on their wedding day! I started that morning at Grays Boutique B&B in Bath where Gemma and her twin sister Jodie were getting ready. The atmosphere was fairly calm and relaxed but the nerves slowly built up as time wore on. Gemma’s Dad looked so proud of Gemma when he saw how utterly stunning she looked as a Bride. A lovely moment to witness between the two of them. I arrived at Priston to find Kenny looking very smart in his kilt and managing to remain fairly calm through the support of his best man and ushers. The lovely thing about the Watermill at Priston is you can opt for an outdoor wedding ceremony should you be graced with fine weather on your special day – so this is exactly what they did. There’s something extra special about an outdoor summer ceremony I think. The background sounds of the Watermill churning and the birds tweeting adds much romance to the occasion. After the ceremony we headed off to the countryside around the village of Priston for a few photographs before heading back to the venue. A few tear jerking moments during the speeches produced some great shots for me before guests relaxed fully, enjoyed the late afternoon sunshine and all that the kids play area had to offer – we all got to find out what Scots wear under their kilts as the guys swung from the monkey bars and leapt over the assault course, lets put it that way! 😉 Gemma and Kenny, if your marriage is half as wonderful as your wedding day was then you are in for a fantastic life together. You make such a lovely couple, I wish you all the best.
