It was Abi’s Mum who first contacted me – just weeks before the wedding! A last minute decision to have a wedding photographer at her daughter’s winter wedding in Bristol and a lovely wedding it was too. The ceremony felt really special, Abi’s Father is the Rector of the local church whilst her Mum is also ordained but as both wanted to take their parent roles in the service it was actually Abi’s Grandfather who led the ceremony. As you can imagine, this made for a very special intimate feeling to the wedding, despite the large guest list. What I found extra special that day though was Abi and Will’s love for each other. It was so very tender and caring, innocent yet protective. I work with many couples head over heels in love but Abi and Will have something incredibly special between them. As I photographed them I could feel the connection, it was so strong that their happiness was almost palpable. I did actually jump up and down with excitement for them at one point which is very unlike me! After some tea and cake guests made their way to Ashton Court Mansion for an evening reception dinner in it’s grand music room which was lit by candlelight. Abi and Will I know you are going to have a long and happy marriage together forever – keep hold of that special magic of your wedding day in the years to come.
There’s a selection of my favourite Ashton Court Wedding Photography from the day below but friends and family of Abi and Will are invited to view the full password protected gallery here.
