Katie & Chris have booked me to photograph their wedding in Oxfordshire later this year which I’m very excited about because it involves a Chinese tea ceremony which is something I’ve never shot before.  I visited them at Katie’s Dad’s house in Oxfordshire for their pre-wedding shoot.  It was a lovely sunny day so we piled in one car and drove around the nearby villages stopping now and then for some photos.  Not seeing the shoot locations beforehand really pushed me creatively to think on my feet and quickly spot places to stop at.  I was able to explain to Katie and Chris what I look for in terms of back drop and light direction so they had a bit of a photography lesson along the way!  I found them both really easy company and thoroughly enjoyed my time with them, hearing about how they met and their busy lives in London.  Pre-wedding shoots really give me a great insight into each couple and their relationship as well as providing valuable information on the types of images they prefer, this means I can then tailor their wedding photography to suit.  Here’s a few of my favourites from the day…
