Oliver and Shea are a couple managing a long distance relationship really well. They asked me to meet up with them for an Engagement shoot near Bristol. Shea lives in America and Oliver in the UK (they met at university in the US), nevertheless they’re in love and getting married in the USA next year. Shea visited the UK this summer and whilst here they decided to book an Engagement Shoot with me – to celebrate their engagement and also to use one of the images as a ‘save the date’ card before their wedding invites go out which I thought was a good idea. I find couples often do this and it’s great to know my images have been used effectively. Another popular idea is to use the set of engagement images (couples get 10 images as part of the package) as table ‘names’ on the wedding day or as other decoration in the wedding venue. Anyway, after a very long bus journey from Bath (bad luck with a few buses being cancelled that day), poor Shea then braved our English summer weather on the end of one of the windiest piers I’ve ever visited and didn’t moan at all showing full commitment to the photoshoot – so well done to her! Clevedon Pier is a location I’ve shot at a few times before but each time it’s different because the weather has such an impact upon the aesthetics there. It was cold and windy that day but still sunny which was great. I love the turquoise of this Pier, it really adds something special to images taken there. All the best for your wedding day Shea and Oliver, here’s a few of my favourite images from your shoot in Clevedon:
