Orchardleigh is a privately owned manor house in Frome, Somerset. The first thing that struck me as a wedding photographer was how light it is inside for an old building as wedding venues of this nature can often be so dark. There’s a golf course, a billiard room, chandeliers, beautiful bedrooms with four poster beds and it even comes complete with it’s very own ghost (if the rumours are to be believed) which I didn’t meet, thankfully. The best bit of this wedding venue for me is the large formal garden at the back of the property with views over the estate, infact I think I saw Mr Darcy advancing over the hill! So if you like your weddings ‘Pride and Prejudice’ style then this could be the venue for you.
You can see a wedding I shot at Orchardleigh here.
I offer creative and contemporary wedding photography in Somerset and the surrounding counties. Please feel free to view my portfolio or blog to see more examples of my work.
