Elaine contacted me to request some modern headshots for use in her business and on social media.  She runs a few businesses with an online presence utilising her skills in writing, social media management, photography and design aswell as including her environmental interests.  To find out more about the work she does have a look at her website Miss Elaineous.  The brief was a set of modern, relaxed and natural portraits with a good mix of black and white and colour.  We met up in Bradford-on-Avon which is ideal for a portrait shoot because there’s so much variety of landscape in one small area.  We were in search of late autumnal colour and good light – both of which we found in the end.  I really enjoy portrait shoots like this, it’s great to get to know each client and always interesting to hear their stories about what brought them to the area and the thoughts behind their businesses and personal ambitions.  The hour spent chatting and taking photographs during a shoot is much like hanging out with a friend and I hope clients enjoy it as much as I do, however apprehensive they are at the beginning, because it really does help create the right images when they can fully relax infront of the camera.  Here’s a few of my favourite shots of Elaine from that day…
