During Easter 2013 I was the Winkworth Farm Wedding Photographer for Fiona and Chris who married at the very lovely Winkworth Farm, a barn wedding venue near Malmesbury. It was a wedding that was great fun to photograph with glorious spring sunshine and flowers. I remember Fiona’s cute little nephew who was only a baby then but must be almost school age by now!? I remember the jazz band looking so smart in their striped suits with their shiny brass instruments. I remember the bridesmaids looking very elegant in navy and producing one of my favourite ‘bride and bridemaids’ shots to date. I also remember the cheeky little flower girl who kept poking her tongue out in pictures, the crazy poses their friends came up with during the group shots and the guests having great fun in chefs hats trying to carve large joints of meat at each table. I remember the poignant moment Fiona’s Dad was remembered in the speeches and the tears that picked guests eyes at that moment but above all I remember a very happy day of celebration and the look of love on Fiona’s face, totally lost in the moment straight after their first kiss as husband and wife. That’s what it’s all about and that why I love shooting weddings!
