Take a drive through the sunny countryside, down a long single track lane and you’ll find Winkworth Farm, a lovely light, airy and clean space. A major refurbishment project on this Cotswold Stone Barn near Malmesbury in Wiltshire has been completed and it’s a popular choice for Brides and Grooms. Not surprisingly really when you consider what it has to offer. This venue offers you the chance to have your ceremony outdoors in a very pretty little walled garden which I think is a great option. If the weather won’t allow for that there’s plenty of space inside for ceremonies too. It’s a family run venue that’s very welcoming, they let you use their own garden for your guests and photos but also offer a large patio area around the back of the barn too. For those aiming to have an eco friendly wedding Winkworth Farm is one of the best venues, keen to use local suppliers to reduce their carbon footprint, it’s also insulated with sheep’s wool, has rainwater harvesting and an air to air heat source. It’s powered by 100% renewable energy. Tops marks for Winkworth!
